Firefly Airlines Promotion Shows Appreciation to Facebook FansFirefly is back with attractive fares and flexible travel dates between July and August 2010. The special Faceoff domestic and regional promotion, beginning 26 April and ends on 8 May 2010, offers a 30 percent discount on all seats (except flights to Thailand) for Firefly Facebook fans only, Firefly said in a statement here today. It will only cost RM60 to Terengganu, RM75 to Langkawi, RM110 to Singapore and RM110 to Medan. For flights to Penang and Alor Setar, the fares are only RM55 and RM66 respectively. The special Firefly Airlines promotion Faceoff fares are now available at www.facebook.com/firefly until May 8, 2010.  Ms Angelina Fernandez, Firefly's Head of Marketing and Communications said the demand for air travel in this part of the world is still buoyant despite the latest International Air Transport Association (IATA) estimating a massive blow of US$17 billion (RM54 billion) loss over 6 days in the aviation industry due to the Iceland's ash cloud. "As an appreciation to our 24,000 Firefly Facebook fans for their unrelenting support, we are providing them with a special discount of 30 percent in this Faceoff promotion. This promotion is indeed Firefly's way of providing our Facebook fans with more convenience and travel options. The special Faceoff promotional fares are only available for Firefly Facebook Fans online on a first-come-first serve basis, and seats must be purchased at least 30 days before departure. Passengers have the convenience of flying from a city airport, hassle free check in, free 20 kg baggage allowance for check-in baggage, assigned seating, and in-flight complimentary refreshment with snack at no additional cost.
