Malaysia Visa

No Malaysia visa is required for U.S.A. or Commonwealth Country citizens visiting Malaysia for social, business or academic purposes (except for employment).

No visa is required for a stay of less than one month for nationals of all ASEAN countries except Myanmar. For a stay exceeding one month a visa will be required, except for nationals of Brunei and Singapore.

For nationals of Israel, visas are required and permission must be granted by the Ministry of Internal Security.

For nationals of Yugoslavia (Serbia, Montenegro), a Malaysia visa is required and permission must be granted from Ministry Of Home Affairs.

Nationals of countries other than those stated above (with the exception of Israel) are allowed to enter Malaysia without a visa for a visit not exceeding one month.

Every person entering Malaysia must possess a valid national Passport or internationally recognized Travel Document valid for travel to Malaysia. The documents shall be valid, for more than six (6) months from the date of entry into Malaysia.

A visitor is also required to present proof of his financial ability to finance his/her stay in Malaysia together with a confirmed return ticket to another destination.

Every foreigner entering Malaysia for the purpose of Social Visit must obtain a Social Visit Pass. Social visit passes are issued at all points of entry on arrival.







Application for Extension of Social Visit Pass

Visitors who enter and stay in Malaysia for the purpose of Social Visit or Touring are not allowed to extend their stay beyond the stipulated duration according to each country. However, an Extension may be given on Special consideration e.g. due to illness, accident, war in home country etc. The visitor must furnish evidence, and also a "confirmed flight ticket' back to their home country.

The applicant must abide by the following conditions:

* Submit application in person
* Applicant must produce his/ her Passport personally
* Fill Form IMM. 55 - for extension of Social Visit Pass
* Confirmed flight ticket to home country or in possession of visa and ticket to a third country

Payment
A fee of RM50.00 each month for an extension is payable exceeding the third (3rd) month from date of entry

MALAYSIA VISA ON ARRIVAL

Visa-on-arrival will be given only to foreign nationals who already have a visa to enter Singapore or Thailand.

However, the following conditions apply:

1. The Malaysia visa will be specifically for tourist purposes only and is valid for a duration period of 14 days. Extension of visa is NOT allowed.

2. Must have a confirmed return ticket AND

3. Point of entry is
a)the Kuala Lumpur International Airport OR
b)The Sultan Abu Bakar Complexs, Tanjung Kupang.
